ROBERT WHITE TO LEAD JACKSONVILLE AMENDMENT FIGHT

(ORLANDO, FL - October 9, 2007) Floridians for Smarter Growth (FSG) today announced that Compass Bank President Robert White will lead the fight against the so-called Hometown Democracy amendment as the group’s General Chairperson for Jacksonville. The Duval County-wide appointment was the third announced by the campaign to defeat the proposed amendment to the Florida constitution.

CAROLE GREEN TO LEAD LEE-COLLIER AMENDMENT FIGHT

Carole Green will fight against the so-called Hometown Democracy amendment as the group’s General Chairperson for Lee and Collier counties. HOMETOWN DEMOCRACY GADFLY BUSTED IN POMPANO

(ORLANDO, FL) - Extremist activist Joyce Tarnow, called a "gadfly" by the ST. PETERSBURG TIMES, was arrested outside a supermarket in Pompano Beach in July, according to an August 8th TIMES report. Tarnow, who is no stranger to controversy, said she plans to challenge the arrest in the courts - and plans to break the law again.
